Stories in a Space

Not every story is conveyed “on the page.” Some are told through interactive experiences.

The Polar Frontier at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
As part of the Polar Bear habitat, the zoo established an education center – Polar Pete’s Polar Outpost. Here visitors could watch videos from scientists, monitor climate conditions around the world, and make a “polar pledge.” Each kiosk needed specific copy points – simple, direct, factual, and enticing enough to pull people away from the animals.

The Salmon P. Chase Visitor and Education Center at The Ohio Statehouse
I crafted historical content across seven kiosks focusing on various components of Ohio’s history and government. Topics included the 1863 state budget;  our “Great Ohioans”; and the Ohio Constitution, providing key passages with a present day connection.

American Electric Power (AEP) GridSMART Travelling Exhibits
To explain the new GridSMART system and the technology behind it, AEP fabricated a rolling exhibit that would cross the state sharing the program details through a series of interactive kiosks. Each kiosk needed to be highly informational yet engaging enough to keep people in place long enough to understand the overarching story.

Bob Evans History Kiosks
A series of videos were developed and deployed to touchscreen kiosks in select restaurants and corporate spaces. The videos would enable people to explore the history of the franchise and the many who started it.
